I have been involved in teaching since 2007. I am formally trained and certified to teach at Dutch universities (BKO Basiskwalificatie Onderwijs).
As a sociologist and a teacher, I see my task as challenging and guiding students in the pursuit of three overarching learning goals:
- Excite students about societal topics and instill the ability to think sociologically,
- Cultivate an appreciation and understanding of scientific methods,
- Provide fundamental knowledge and tools applicable to students’ future careers.
In addition to teaching at the university, I have been a mentor in the Leibniz Association from 2023 to 2025, and in the RWTH Aachen University program since 2025.
